Birds In Concert

Date: Every Thursday in August

Come hear the World Bird Sanctuary's very own "Raptor Project" perform songs from their debut children's environmental music CD "Save The Future"

Also featured are different guest performers each night! Live birds and free-flight demonstrations accompany some musical selections. Pack a picnic snack to enhance the magic of our outdoor amphitheater.

Creatures Of Halloween

Annual Fall Open House

Dates: Saturday and Sunday, third weekend in October

Encounter amazing owls and their raptor, reptile, parrot and mammal friends! Animal programs and exhibits, interactive children’s area, behind the scenes tours, snacks and unique gifts throughout the event! Bring your camera, there’s no other like it!

Christmas Is For The Birds

Date: First Saturday in December

A fun and exciting holiday event. Each child gets his/her photo with our special “wilderness” Santa who holds a live raptor! Avoid standing in long lines, holiday crafts and entertainment will keep little visitors on Santa's "nice" list! Registration discount deadline is 11/30 (per child cost after 12/1 is $25).

Sunrise With Songbirds

Dates: Year-round except Jan. and Feb. (Please call for dates.)

Time: Check-In begins at 7am; tour starts promptly at 7:30am (Hikes last approx. 3 hours)

Hike our majestic grounds and America's second most popular hobby: BIRDING! WBS' Wildlife Experts lead the tours and discuss birding basics and how to spot and identify our many diverse species. Dress for the weather.

Owl Prowl

Come over to the dark side and meet those amazing birds that exist by moonlight. Enjoy a close look at our resident owls, learn interesting facts along with their unique calls, then take a night hike to try to call a wild one in.
