Job Opportunity: Naturalist/Trainer Position
If you are interested in helping to save wildlife and habitat through educational and entertaining, live animal programs, then you will want to work
for the World Bird Sanctuary. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic people who are dedicated to this cause and are not afraid to work, hands on,
with live animals, especially birds. You will help perform all aspects of husbandry with the animals you work with, and be part of a team that presents
scripted programs to the public utilizing these live animals. Public speaking and animal handling experience are preferred, but not requires. A

Internship: General
As a General Intern you will experience all aspects of WBS' work including avian captive management, education and avian field studies. You will participate in all aspects of the captive management of the resident birds from around the world that are used in education programs and captive breeding projects. This includes assisting the staff in daily husbandry duties and working hands-on with trained birds from around the world. You may also assist in the rehabilitation of injured birds. You will assist the staff of the Office of Wildlife Learning as they present educational programs to the public. You will interact with the general public on a daily basis and assist in our visitor centers. You may participate in the release, tracking and monitoring of peregrine falcons, become experienced in the use of radio telemetry, field identification of birds, and documentation of behaviors. You may work very long hours and in all types of weather conditions.
