Roger Holloway is the Director of Operations at World Bird Sanctuary.
Roger began his career with World Bird Sanctuary as an intern in October of 1988, which led to a second internship in spring of 1989. He then went on to work Raptory Theater shows at Milwaukee County Zoo, Grant’s Farm, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Tulsa Zoo and Zoo Atlanta.
Upon return to WBS headquarters full-time in 1991, he took over as Director of Education and held that post until 2005. Once the rehabilitation department moved to the WBS property, and the old Tyson site was closed up, he took over as Director of Operations with the completion of the updated facilities.
Roger, along with Joe Hoffmann, co-founded the Raptor Project band and sings, plays guitar and the mandolin. He coordinates the Birds in Concert series which includes performances by the Raptor Project from their 2 albums “All Along the Watershed” and “Save the Future.”
Performing with the Raptor Project lets him combines his greatest passions in life – birds and music!
