It’s almost springtime, which means it’s nearing the busiest season of the year for our Wildlife Hospital here at World Bird Sanctuary. Along with the usual population of injured birds we receive month-to-month, we also receive many baby birds during the spring months. Oftentimes, these babies will fall from the nest, are orphaned or encounter predators, but many times they are brought in by well-meaning humans who believe the fledgling babies who are learning to fly are actually in distress. We urge everyone to be aware and learn the difference between an injured baby and a baby that is just being a baby!
Nevertheless, we will be inundated with patients soon, and we will need extra funds to help pay for their care! World Bird Sanctuary is a 501c3 non-profit that receives no county, state or federal funding. We do everything we do here – sanctuary wide – with donations both from our corporate sponsors and from people just like you! Every dollar counts when it comes to caring for our precious charges.
So begins our World Bird Sanctuary Wildlife Hospital Spring Drive. Please consider donating to help those birds that will be coming in with a variety of different needs and injuries.
Be a part of something big, and help return these beautiful creatures back to the wild where they belong!
