CJ White is a Naturalist at World Bird Sanctuary.
Born and raised in western Maryland. CJ White was drawn to birds at a young age, fascinated by their variations – from little songbirds, to birds of prey.
In 2010, he began volunteering at Trego Mountain Sanctuary/Nature Center, where he initially gained knowledge and experience in raptor husbandry and rehabilitation, as well as teaching the public about the significance of their roles in nature and the importance of conserving the environment they share with us. In 2016, he went on to volunteer at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, tending to Puffins and animals inhabiting the rainforest exhibit, such as sloths, tanagers and Ibis.
In 2017, CJ relocated from the east coast to become a Naturalist here at World Bird Sanctuary, where he is often found flying raptors for educational programs.
