Leah Tyndall is the Zoo Show Coordinator at World Bird Sanctuary.
Before attending an Ornithology class at Earlham College, she had very little interest in birds. In fact, her love of birds did not truly begin until her internship at World Bird Sanctuary. After her internship, she was invited to supervise the 2008 Grant’s Farm zoo show program, and then she was hooked!
Since 2009, she has participated in 15 offsite zoo show programs and supervised 12 of them. In the winter she helps supervise the Lower Site as well as training staff and birds for shows. During the summer she travels to our various offsite programs to evaluate and assist the staff and birds in putting on the best shows possible. To think, growing up she would skip the aviaries when she went to visit zoos! Never, ever again!
