Annie Griggs is a Naturalist at World Bird Sanctuary.
Annie is from Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 2016 with a degree in Biology and a minor in Spanish. She spent the majority of her time in school conducting foraging research with sparrows and hummingbirds, and training service dogs. She’s always been an animal lover – so naturally her career would follow!
Upon graduation, Annie worked as an Environmental Educator in Georgia and found her passion for teaching about animals, in particular raptors. She love inspiring people to care about animals and the world around them. She began at World Bird Sanctuary in 2017 at the Assistant Supervisor of the Milwaukee County Zoo show and was then offered a full time position.
Murdock is her absolute favorite bird at the World Bird Sanctuary…and the world!
