Mike Zeloski is the Facilities Coordinator at World Bird Sanctuary.
Born in Missouri, he began as an intern at World Bird Sanctuary in 1988 and became a full-time employee in 1989. Mike has worked across the country at our zoo shows and education programs over the past 18 years educating the public about conservation and birds of prey.
He has enjoyed wild bird watching since he was in the third grade, and we can always count on him to identify any bird call in the area. He loves to be able to talk about wild birds. He loves the their colors, flight, interesting behaviors and migration. He gets especially excited during spring migration when he hears all the songbirds coming back to the area for the season.
His favorite birds are Patriot the Bald Eagle and Mischief the White-necked Raven because both have big personalities and great physical abilities which deserve respect.
