Seasonal Keeper

We protect and preserve birds and their habitats through conservation, rehabilitation,
and education.

Position:
World Bird Sanctuary is seeking an experienced individual to fill an available Seasonal
Keeper position. Weekends will be required as part of your 32 hour work week. 8am –
5pm. Salary: $13.75 per hour
This position will report directly to the Site Manager.

Responsibilities:

● Assisting with the daily preparation and feeding of animal diets
● Assisting with behavior training and enrichment
● Leading educational programs with our animal ambassadors
● Accurate documentation with required paperwork
● Assisting with general site maintenance
● Daily handling of raptors
● Occasional handling of reptiles, arachnids, and other birds
● Working with volunteers

Experience Required:

● Prior experience with wildlife is preferable.
● Must be able to lift 40lbs with relative ease.
● Must be willing to work outdoors in both cold and hot weather. Shifts may be
primarily outdoors in all weather conditions
● Must work well in a team-oriented environment
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
