Flying Bird Shows begin April 3rd and go through Sept. 7th. Shows will be on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Free with admission! Are you ready for an exciting animal experience? Check out our Flying Bird Show! Watch birds of prey fly right over your head, see our wonderful ambassadors up close, and much more! Every program showcases different animals, so each day is a unique experience. **During inclement weather, shows may be shortened or an alternative Meet & Greet opportunity may be available**

Bird Banding Demos

See science in action with our Bird Banding Demos! You can learn all about banding birds, why it's important, and how it helps scientists monitor species across the globe. Demos are every Friday at the pavilion next to our gift shop from 8am-10am June 6th through July 31st (no demo on July 3rd)

International Vulture Awareness Day

Join the World Bird Sanctuary for a fun, family-friendly celebration of nature’s ultimate cleanup crew—vultures! These incredible birds help keep our environment clean and disease-free by preventing the spread of anthrax, botulism, and rabies. Did you know the world’s highest flying bird, soaring over 30,000 feet, is a vulture? Enjoy family-friendly activities, hands-on crafts, and special presentations at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm showcasing their unique behaviors, amazing adaptations, and vital role in keeping our planet healthy.
